WARRANT FOR SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

To: H. Keith Braley, a Constable in the Town of Limington, County of York and State of Maine:

Greetings:

          In the name of the State of Maine, you are hereby required to notify and warn the voters of the Town of Limington qualified by law to vote In Town a affairs that a Special Town Meeting will be held at the Municipal Complex in said Town on Thursday, the 4th day of May, 2000, beginning at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of acting on the following Articles to wit:

ARTICLE 1:   To choose a Moderator.

ARTICLE 2: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate or allocate from surplus funds an amount not to exceed the sum of $9,000 for the installation of an air conditioning/air exchange system in the municipal offices at the Municipal Complex building.

ARTICLE 3: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate or allocate from surplus funds an amount not to exceed the sum of $4,000 for the purchase and installation of bushes and shrubbery, and outside window shutters at the Municipal Complex building.

ARTICLE 4: To see if the Town will vote to allocate a sum of money for Limington's share of a Regional Public Access Facility. Said amount shall not exceed the amount that the Town of Limington receives from the Cable Company franchise fee each year. First year requested amount is $3,174.60.

ARTICLE 5: To see if the Town will vote to accept an offer received from MSAD #6 to purchase the Town-owned Fire Station building and property located on Route 25 for the sum of $5,000 and to designate said $5,000 for repairs and improvements to the Town-owned Fire Station building located on Route 117S.

ARTICLE 6: To see if the Town will vote to appropriate or allocate from surplus funds the sum of $600 for the Saco River Corridor Commission water quality-testing program of the Saco River and its tributaries.

Selectmen Recommendation: 2 IN FAVOR; 1 NOT IN FAVOR
Financial Advisory Committee Recommendation: 4 IN FAVOR; 3 NOT IN FAVOR

ARTICLE 7: To see if the Town will vote to reallocate to the Planning Board 2000 budget the sum of $600 which, at the Annual Town Meeting held on March 4, 2000, was erroneously designated out of the Planning Board's 2000 budget for the Saco River Corridor Commission's water quality-testing program. This $600 to be placed back into the Planning Board's budget for the year 2000.

ARTICLE 8: Should the School Administrative District No. 6 directors be paid compensation at the rate of $15. for each meeting which each director attends?

          The Special Town Meeting will be called to order at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 4, 2000, after choosing the Moderator. The Moderator will the open the Special Town Meeting for the purpose of acting on the within Articles.
