Note: Selectmen will hold a public hearing
on the same night with the Planning Board present
to review the Proposed Zoning Ordinance Changes
These minutes were approved at the February 8, 2001 Planning Board meeting with the following changes:
Wendy Walker, Chairperson, said that a sentence stating "An audio tape was made of the Selectmen's Public Hearing on the Zoning Amendments," should be added to the January 25, 2001 meeting Minutes.
TOWN OF LIMINGTON PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
The Planning Board meeting was called to order by Wendy Walker, Chairperson, at 8:55 P.M. on January 25, 2001 at the Limington Municipal Building.
Regular members present: Wendy Walker, Chairperson; Stanley Blake, Jr.; Diane Hubbard; Harold Jordan.
Regular members absent: Kreg Rose, Vice-Chairperson; Chris Clark; Raymond Coffin.
Alternate members present: Ronald Perkins.
Richard Jarrett videotaped the meeting.
The Minutes of the December 21, 2000, December 28, 2000 and January 11, 2001 could not be approved because their were not enough members present who attended the meetings.
Wendy Walker, Chairperson, explained that the Public Hearing on the Michael Harmon application for a junkyard pending a legal opinion on the size of the lot. If the lot is not three (3) acres then the Planning Board cannot approve the application. Mr. Harmon then has the option of approaching the Appeals Board.
Wendy Walker, Chairperson, then explained that the Mineral Extraction section of the Zoning Ordinance amendments was stricken and eliminated from the ballot. There were discrepancies noted in the section.
She further stated that the independent water study relating to Webster Mills had to be canceled. The meeting will be scheduled as soon as possible.
The Board members felt that there was good feedback at the Selectmen's Public Hearing on the Zoning Ordinance amendments. The meeting was held prior to the Planning Board meeting.

The Board then reviewed the application submitted by Kevin Martell to operate a wood storage yard on South Road in Limington. The deed was not included with the application and the addresses of the abutters were not included. Before the Public Hearing can be scheduled the omitted items will have to be available to the Planning Board.
A letter was received from the York Cumberland Housing Development Corporation in which they propose an elderly housing development in Limington. No action was necessary at this time.
MOTION: To adjourn the January 25, 2001 meeting of the Planning Board. The motion was seconded by Diane Hubbard and carried unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 9:10 P.M.
