SELECTMEN MEETING
JANUARY 4, 2001

    Herbert Ramsdell, Kathy Maddocks and Barry Gammon were in attendance.

    Meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.

    Meeting was attempted to be videotaped, but videotaping was discontinued due to an equipment failure.

    Calvin Lewis was in to discuss Post Office parking lot.

    Nancy Bozenhard and Mike York came in to discuss and submit two Annual Meeting Warrant articles. The first article concerned establishing a definite salary for the position of Code Enforcement Officer. This issue had previously been discussed with the Financial Advisory Board and was scheduled for further discussion and drafting on January 6, 2001. The second article submitted concerned the old town hall and use of that structure in the future. This proposed article will be submitted to the FAC for consideration at its Annual Budget meeting scheduled for January 13. Nancy will make presentation to the FAC at that time.

    Steve Kelly was in from the Library to drop off an estimate received from Arthur Dearborn regarding architectural plans for renovation and expansion of the library. The library will submit an article for consideration by the FAC and possible inclusion in the Annual Town Meeting Warrant to raise the necessary funds in order to proceed with the architectural design of the proposal.

    Jeff Libby telephoned to discuss the position and hiring of a paramedic for the Fire/EMS Dept.

    Patty Harmon telephoned to advise that additional janitorial supplies were needed for the Municipal Complex.

    A proposed contract from Pine Tree Waste for the transfer station recyclables was received and briefly discussed. Further discussion of this proposal is required.

    A meeting has been scheduled for January 6, 2001 at 9:00 to meet with the firm that has provided an estimate on refurbishing Fire Engine Two.

    Mail was reviewed.

    Weekly warrant was completed.

    No further business to come before the meeting, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:00 p.m.
